2 Chainz took to Twitter Thursday (May 23) night to announce to the world that he’s putting all “features on hault” to focus his energies on his yet untitled new album, which now has an official release date: September 10.

"FEATURES ON HAULT... NEW ALBUM ON THE WAY SEPTEMBER TENTH!!!!," the artist formerly known as Tity Boi tweeted.

Tity Two Necklaces has been on a lyrical mission since he landed at No. 2 on MTV’s Hottest MC’s list. The rapper born Tauheed Epps thanked MTV’s brain trust for honoring his musical grind and ability to wash all comers on wax like he did on G.O.O.D. Music's radio-killing anthem, "Mercy."

“Thanks MTV, headed to the lab,” he tweeted. “Def a blessing….Always wanted to be mentioned on that list."

The "I'm Different" MC also promised to ante up for the follow-up to his widely successful debut, Based On A T.R.U. Story, which landed at #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart after moving 147,000 units during its first week.

"Next album will hush all the critics that the 1st album didn't...,” he tweeted.

With the way Chainz has been putting in work and improving his flow, there's little doubt that his sophomore set will be as good as, if not better, than the first.
