Good things come to those who wait, but is five years too long? Birdman and Rick Ross are hoping that’s not the case as fans will finally hear their joint mixtape, The H: The Lost Album Vol. 1, which was has been in the making since 2008. The DJ Khaled-hosted project dropped Thursday (May 23) and is available for free download at DattPiff.com.
Keeping mind that the set was conceived and put in motion half a decade ago, fans should not expect guest features from Rozay’s MMG team or any of the two moguls’ newest hip-hop collaborators like French Montana, Meek Mill, Wale, 2 Chainz or Drake. Kevin Rudolf and Gudda make appearances, though, as does YMCMB president Mack Maine.
“We did so much music and we’ve just been sitting on it,” Ross said in a video released last week. “Stunna just hit me like, ‘Man, let’s go and feed the streets with that.”
