Hangout Music Festival Amps Up Hip-Hop Roster

Rolling Stone Hosts Volkswagen Rock & Roll Super Bowl Fan Tailgate Party

The 2013 Hangout Music Festival kicks off Friday May 17 and runs through Sunday May 19, with more hip-hop performers than we've seen in previous years. Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are scheduled to hit the stage this week, adding to a growing list of rap acts at the Alabama festival.

In 2012, Mac Miller and Yelawolf took a trip down to Gulf Shores, Alabama to rock the crowd along with headlining acts like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Jack White. While back in 2011, Cee Lo Green performed along with soulful singer Amos Lee and Jewish rapper Matisyahu.

This year, in addition to Kendrick and Macklemore, Public Enemy and The Roots are also booked for sets, in addition to headliners Stevie Wonder, Kings of Leon and Tom Petty. Stay tuned to MTV all weekend for livestreams of performances and backstage access to your favorite artists.

MTV, VH1 and CMT will be on the ground at Hangout 2013, bringing you all the latest news, interviews, performances and more from the Shores. If you're not able to be there, be sure to check in and watch live streaming performances all weekend.
