Since releasing her much talked-about new single “Bow Down/I Been On," Beyonce has remained pretty quiet on the social media front, until now. But instead of addressing the song, she decided to express her views on marriage equality instead.
Queen Bey took to her Instagram to offer her support for gay marriage. She wrote a handwritten note with the message, “If you like it you should be able to put a ring on it," which also included the hashtag "We will unite 4 marriage equality!" But she didn’t stop there. She also posted a photo of the Human Rights Campaign’s red equal sign that read "It's about time #equality #prop8 #marriageislove . . . show your support!"
It seems like she and her husband share similar views. Last May, during an interview with CNN in Philadelphia, Jay-Z openly agreed with Obama’s stance on gay marriage. "What people do in their own homes is their business, and you can choose to love whoever you love. That's their business. It's no different than discriminating against blacks. It's discrimination, plain and simple."
