It was only a matter of time before Miley Cyrus really went hip-hop. After being photographed in the studio with Wiz Khalifa and Mike Will Made-It, the former tween star shared with Ryan Seacrest that she's collaborating with none other than Snoop Lion on her upcoming album.
"I did a song with Snoop and it’s coming out very, very soon…I can finally say I’m going to have a song with Snoop coming very soon," she said. "“it’s recorded, done. I’m so excited! He was in Europe when he was recording but he’s here this weekend so I’m pretty excited I’m going to take a bunch of my friends and go hang out.
She describes her new album: “I want this record to be different and a bunch of passion projects which the first thing I wouldn’t have calculated like, ‘Oh the first song I want to come out is me and Snoop Dogg.’ I never thought that would be [my first single], I’d think it’d be my own single first but I’ve been able to do these things where I’ve just been in the studio at the right time and these projects have just magically come.”
Miley has long had a thing for rappers. In 2011, she tweeted Gucci Mane. She gave 2 Chainz props during her birthday by sharing that she wanted a "big booty ho" in homage of his "Birthday Song" and she recently hung with French Montana at the Grammys, which leaves us wondering: what other rappers does she plan on working with? A collab with French doesn't seem like a stretch at this point, given that he's working on his debut Excuse My French, and even 2 Chainz, who's appeared on unlikely collabs with artists like Fall Out Boy and Kreayshawn wouldn't surprise us.
This week Miley even released a fun "twerk" video of an awkward dance routine, which has since gone viral and received love from rappers like French.
