He used to be a kid when he first started, but these days Wiz Khalifa is definitely the man and on Thursday the Taylor Gang captain will be dropping the new video for "Let It Go," his latest single with Akon. "It’s a big record," Wiz told "RapFix Live" on Wednesday (March 20) after he premiered a 30 second clip.
On the new single Khalifa exhibits a new maturity, pushing positivity over the hate that he may receive on a daily basis. "Living my life about peace/ Sharing this money and trying to get all my n---as up off of them streets," he raps on the track which appears on his O.N.I.F.C. LP.
Wiz was just a teen when he dropped his first mixtape Prince of the City in 2005 and these days marvels at how far he’s come. Not only has he become one of rap’s top artists, he heads his own Taylor Gang crew and most recently became a dad. "You can see how I’ve changed, how I’ve grown through the progression in my videos and my music and it’s good, it’s fun because I got way more to do," Khalifa said. "It’s just another stage and another step and we’re just gonna keep it moving."
