In odd celebrity news, Waka Flocka flirts via Twitter with…Topanga? Yes, in the funniest form of free publicity, actress Danielle Fishel, best known for her role as sweet and wholesome Topanga Lawrence on the ‘90s sitcom "Boy Meets World," entertained some random social media interaction with Brick Squad rapper Waka Flocka on Tuesday (March 12).
Flocka tweeted at the 31-year-old actress Tuesday, simply writing, “squadd." Fishel answered almost immediately, asking, “Hey! squadd?” Both Fishel’s and Flocka’s followers were amused by the out of the blue convo and informed Fishel that Flocka was referring to his Brick Squad status.
And it didn’t end there. Flocka tried to continue flirting with the Maxim's April cover girl, tweeting “Waddap doe," to which Fishel playful answered “Oh, not much just working. Waddap with you?”
Flocka never responded to her last reply, but fueled by fan reaction, Fishel kept the good humor going, tweeting “The reactions to simple tweets to @WakaFlockaBSM (whom I've never met) are hilarious. I don't know what's happening but I'm laughing."
Although Fishel may seem like the last celeb likely to rub elbows with a rapper like Waka, this serial good girl surprisingly has her ear in the rap game. When Gucci Mane tweeted that he would be changing his name to "Guwop" (and then subsequently tweeted he had changed his mind), Fishel was one of the first to retweet the news to her nearly 150,000 followers.
As if the upcoming "Boys Meets World" remake needed any more publicity, Fishel seems to be gaining some street cred via the social stream.
