Rihanna is celebrated for her many contributions to pop music (enhanced by her edgy, party-girl personality) but while the singer has received countless awards and recognition for her sound and top-charting singles, her acting ability hasn’t been able to shine as bright.

This past weekend, Rihanna was recognized for her role in 2012’s blockbuster, "Battleship," adding yet another award to her long list of accolades. However, we’re sure she won’t be as quick to show off her latest prize.

While this Sunday evening proved to be filled with adoration for Hollywood’s top actors and actresses at the 2013 Oscars, the night before the Oscars, told a different story. The 2013 Razzie Awards took place Saturday night, and for those of you who don’t know what the Razzies are, it’s an award show that honors the very worst achievements in film— pretty much the complete opposite of the Oscars.

This year, Rihanna had the dishonor of taking home the Razzie for Worst Supporting Actress for her role in the action film "Battleship." Rihanna appeared in the blockbuster film in hopes to add breakthrough actress to her growing resume. Unfortunately for the singer, she didn’t quite breakthrough to critics-- maybe next time Rih Rih.
