Drake, Nelly And Common Close Out NBA All-Star Takeover

By Maurice Bobb

The only thing more prevalent than basketball superstar and celebrity sightings during NBA All Star weekend was Drake's " Started From The Bottom" blaring repeatedly through car, headphone and nightclub speakers.  The YMCMB spitter hosted the finale event for the "Hennessy V.S All-Star Takeover" at the recently constructed Drake Oasis Tent.  Nelly, Adrienne Bailon and Basketball Wives’ L.A.'s Malaysia joined Drizzy in the two-story tent to celebrate the closing of All-Star weekend.

Earlier in the day, the Under Armour Sports Line  “Kicks & Grits” event was hosted by Common, with celebs like Laz Alonso, Talib Kweli and his wife DJ Esque, DJ D-Nice, Anthony Hamilton, Tank and ESPN's Chris Broussard in the building.  The Chicagoan known for interacting on an intimate level with fans surprised the crowd with an impromptu performance of freestyles and songs, which included his timeless classic, "I Used to Love H.E.R."
