Eminem may be busy prepping his eighth studio album but he’s also working on another important project: executive producing a series titled “Detroit Rubber.” The show follows Rick Williams and Roland “Ro” Coit, owners of the Burn Rubber sneaker shop and the upcoming episode will feature guest appearances from two of the Motor City's finest rappers, Big Sean and Royce Da 5’9'', in addition to Pusha T.
The series centers around the pair’s ability to balance family and work life with their growing business, Burn Rubber. Even though the series is only premiering it’s third episode on Tuesday night, the show has already managed to generate record-breaking traffic and engagement for Youtube’s LOUD channel. This third episode is a biggie, with appearances from Big Sean, Pusha T and Royce.
The episode, titled "Extracurricular Activities," gives a look into how Rick and Ro spend time with their hobbies outside of their Burn Rubber shop. They’re both on their separate grinds, with Rick hitting up Frank the Butcher to talk about a new collaborative brand and Ro heading to the studio to work with Denaun Porter, aka Mr. Porter, the producer behind the hits of D12, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and many others. At night they both reunite to head backstage at a Big Sean concert to shake hands with prominent Detroit hip-hop artists such as Mike Posner, Mo Beats, Say It Ain’t Tone, Pusha T, Chief, Paradime, Bizarre, Marv Won, Royce Da 5’9, and more.
This episode really hits the point of the show, portraying Rick and Ro’s ability to juggle work and handle their hobbies and families on the side. Not to mention the crazy cast of characters and appearances by some of hip-hop’s greatest. Even Eminem himself made an appearance on the first episode. “The guys from Burn Rubber represent what Detroit Hustle is all about: passion, pride and hard work,” Em stated. “We’re excited to show the world what they’ve created here in The D.”
