Lil Wayne hasn't had the best luck at sporting events over the past few months. After his Super Bowl spat with a photog, Wayne attended the Los Angeles Lakers vs Miami Heat game last night and found himself at odds with officials.
During last night’s game, the New Orleans native tweeted that he was getting thrown out of Miami’s American Airlines Arena for showing a little love to the Lakers. "So I'm @ da Heat game right, rootin 4 da Lakers kuz dats my team & would u believe they got police 2 make me leave?! Wow! F#€k da Heat."
Reports have been mixed, with some claims that Wayne was bounced for making violent gestures at a fellow fan.
However, a witness and the Miami Heat organization had a different story to tell. Yahoo Sports reported that a fan named Danny Vega, who said he was near the rapper, gave his version of events: "Random guy yelled at Lil Wayne at #MiamiHEAT game, Weezy looked back, gave him a mean stare & gestured he had a gun. Weezy just got into argument with security at the #MiamiHEAT game. He got kicked out for gun gesture."
A spokeswoman for the Heat told USA Today that Lil Wayne was not kicked out, but left of his own free will. This past summer, Wayne had beef with the Oklahoma City Thunder, who he took shoots at for denying him front row seats at game three of the Thunder vs San Antonio Spurs playoffs. Weezy later told AP, “"It's the players stepping up but of course the players aren't white. I don't want to be sitting there on behalf of you and I'm sitting next to a (person) that's like 'I don't want this (guy) sitting next to me.' (Forget) you ... I'm in Forbes.”
As the finger pointing and blame game continue, one thing adds insult to injury for our favorite “ No Worries” rapper - Miami won.
