Even though he’s down one hand, Frank Ocean has been added to the lineup of Grammy performers. Ocean is taking the stage for the first time for the 2013 Grammys alongside veteran Alicia Keys who was also recently added to the line-up.
Not only is Ocean performing with an impressive line-up of of other artists, he is also one of the leading nominees this year. He is up for six awards including Record Of The Year for "Thinkin Bout You," Album Of The Year and Best Urban Contemporary Album for Channel Orange, Best New Artist and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration (with Jay-Z, Kanye West and The-Dream) for "No Church In The Wild."
Chris Brown was also nominated for a Grammy, yet there is no word on Brown being on the lineup of performers which is probably for the best given his parking lot scuffle with Ocean on Sunday. Ocean tweeted, "I can't play w/two hands at the Grammys,” immediately after the fight.
The Grammys will also feature a one hour special on February 9 entitled "The Grammys Will Go On: A Death in the Family." The special takes a look at never before seen footage of the production team, hosts and artists making last minute changes February 2012 program in response to the sudden death of Whitney Houston. Personal accounts will be given during the special from the likes of Bruno Mars, LL Cool J, Jennifer Hudson and many others.
