It's January 28, which means that today Rick Ross rings in his 37th birthday, but thanks to an unfortunate series of events the Miami rapper will likely have to postpone his celebrations. Ross was leaving a party in Fort Lauderdale in the wee hours of Monday morning, when an unidentified person in a vehicle driving in close range to his Rolls Royce opened fire, sending multiple bullets in his direction.
Thankfully, Ross--who was apparently in the car with a female companion--was not hit, but his Rolls crashed into a nearby building as it swerved to avoid fire. According to witnesses, nearly two dozen bullets were fired at Rozay's car around 5a.m. on Monday morning. The incident took place near the corner of Las Olas Boulevard and 15th Avenue.
Ross had apparently kicked off his birthday celebration earlier in the night, with dinner at the Floridian diner. An employee at the restaurant told cops that the rapper entered his car with a woman right before the first shots were fired, adding that he looked to be shaken up by the incident.
