Meek Mill Documents His Rise In 'Dreams & Nightmares' Video

Meek Mill's "Dreams & Nightmares" is undoubtedly one of the standout tracks on the MMG rapper's debut, setting off the tone of his album with a powerful tale about the grind and struggle to the top. His new video to accompany the track, which premiered on MTV2, gives fans a nice visual accompaniment to his powerful bars.

The clip begins with Meek in the back of a cold police van and continues with snapshots of his later achievements (like appearing in Mariah Carey's "Triumphant" video) as he raps the accompanying lines. Watch it above.

Before releasing Dreams and Nightmares Meek appeared on "RapFix Live," where he admitted to getting some brutally honest critiques from Jay-Z while prepping the album. He recalled playing Hov one particular track that he wasn't crazy about. "'Don't even worry about that joint, go to the next one,' " Mill recalled Jay saying about the  song. "Hov will mess up your whole confidence. That joint might not even make the album no more because you got a great like that telling you [no]."

We're sure that "Dreams & Nightmares" got Jay's blessing though.
