Nicki Minaj appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Friday and shared what's going on with her "American Idol" feud with Mariah Carey. "I wouldn't say I don't like her. I definitely don't think she likes me," Nicki revealed.
"I would agree with that assessment," said Jimmy to the laughing audience. Nicki said that she does try to make MC like her because "I looked up to her for a long time. I don't want to be like hating this lady." Nicki says the two have had an issue from onset but they're currently "having fun."
This is a far cry from the judging awkwardness fans saw on Idol this week, including Nicki storming off the set after disagreeing with Mariah and Randy Jackson. Jimmy continued poking the issue. He asked who would win in a physical throwdown between the two divas. Nicki shared that she "never fights with fists" but uses "whatever weapon is handy." "Don't tell anybody I said that cuz then there'll be another Barbara Walters interview!" joked Nicki.
With the "Idol" dish out in the open, Nick then hit Jimmy's outdoor stage to perform "Freedom" and "Va Va Voom" from her Re-Up album.
