Hit-Boy Signs With Interscope, Gets 2 Chainz Assist On 'Fan (Remix)'

By Rob Markman

The ink is barely dry on Hit-Boy’s new deal with Interscope, but the multi-platinum producer is wasting no time getting to work. On Wednesday night Hit premiered a 2 Chainz-assisted remix to his HITstory track "Fan."

The remix version of "Fan" starts pretty much the same, though Hit seems to have re-done his vocals leaving the lyrics unchanged. Deuce storms in on the second verse with his usual reckless rap abandon and trademark wit. "You can’t trust a big butt and a smile/ Especially now, you can’t tell if they real or they not," he spits referencing Bell Biv DaVoe’s classic lyric.

It's being reported that Hit not only signed to Interscope as a rapper, but the music powerhouse will also carry his Hits Since 87 imprint as well. With his next project All I Ever Dreamed Of on deck the producer/MC is motivated about his growth. "It’s just exciting coming from where I came from just to be in this position right now, I’m just feeling really blessed," he told Power 106’s Big Boy’s Neighborhood co-host Rikki Martinez during an interview on Thursday.

"When I was doing HitStory I was learning myself," he continued reminding fans that he started off rapping, but put down the mic to try his hand at production. "When I got back in the groove I was really just finding my voice and finding what I wanted to say, but now I’m getting really comfortable and getting into it and becoming Hit-Boy."
