Rapper and budding reality television star Consequence (of "Love and Hip-Hop 3" fame) has begun dropping a series of songs under the banner of “ConsTV Tuesdays,” beginning with Tuesday's release of “Driving in Reverse.” The tracks will be released each Tuesday morning after the Monday airing of "Love and Hip-Hop."
Cons originally wrote the track to record with his "Love and Hip-Hop" co-stars Olivia and Erica Mena, but as viewers saw on the most recent episode of the show, his idea fell apart when Olivia refused to participate. He went ahead and made the song anyway, enlisting Baltimore R&B artist Paula Campbell to sing and rap the two ladies’ parts on “Driving in Reverse.”
Despite being seen on the second episode riding around in a shiny Bentley, the song finds Cons expressing genuine frustrations in life. “Do you ever feel like it can’t get worse and you’ve spent your whole life driving in reverse?” Campbell sings on the chorus.
The song is available for purchase on iTunes. Look for a new “ConsTV Tuesdays” song to drop each Tuesday for the duration of the "Love and Hip-Hop" season.
