It seems like 2 Chainz is ready for his close up. The rapper has just been recruited to make a cameo on the CBS comedy “2 Broke Girls.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, he will play himself of the February 11 episode of the sitcom.
The site reports that the episode will revolve around Max (Kat Dennings) and Caroline (Beth Behrs) making their way to the Grammys after a record executive crushes on the former (who, incidentally, has always dreamed of flying on a plane). At the airport, where the ladies are en route from NYC to L.A. (or perhaps vice versa) they run into the rapper.
2 Chainz tweeted from the set of the show on Tuesday, sharing photos of himself with the cast and the show’s creator, Michael Patrick King. Afterwards he tweeted, “u guys were great! Thnk u for that experience.”
It seems that the love was mutual, with Behrs tweeting out, “Just chillin with 2chainz... No big deal…” As for Dennings, perhaps influenced by 2 Chainz’s set visit, she had this bit of trivia for her followers, “My rap name is White Gold… And my R&B name is White Chocolate.”
The episode is especially timely given that the rapper is up for a handful of Grammys. That show airs the day before on February 10. He’s up for three to be exact—two for the G.O.O.D. Music track, “Mercy” (Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance) as well as one for his album, Based on T.R.U. Story, for Best Rap Album. No word yet on if he’ll win in real life or on “2 Broke Girls.”
