Oh, so Big Sean and Q-Tip were just pulling our legs then? The two G.O.O.D. Music rappers have strongly hinted at a possible follow up to Cruel Summer for a few months now, but in a new interview with NYMag, Common seemed to shut that down with a very dismissive answer.
When asked if Cruel Winter was really on the way, Common had this to say: “Oh, yeah, nah, nah. I don’t think that’s happening. It was more of a rumor — cats been creating, but everybody’s been doing their solo album. So that’s what that is.”
Fine, but we’d just like to point out that after repeatedly asking Big Sean if the album was really in the works, each answer seemed more and more affirmative. In mid-December, he told MTV News of the album, “Everybody always says I spilled the beans, everybody be like, ’You be talking too much, you be telling me people too much’ — but it was Q-Tip who said it, right? And then I just said it again.”
