Alicia Keys Sets Obama's Inauguration Ball 'On Fire'

Alicia Keys may be the "Girl on Fire," but during Obama's second Inauguration Ball on Monday night (January 21), the singer confirmed that right now, it's actually the president who's on fire.

Emerging in a stunning red sequined dress, Ms. Keys made her way to the piano where she prompted the crowd with a little call and response for the single "New Day" from her recent fifth studio album Girl on Fire. "Today is an incredible day and you can feel the energy everywhere that you go," she told the audience before launching fully into the song. "In so many ways, every day is a new day, and a new chance--a new chance to be our serve our highest purpose."

She then honored President with a beautiful rendition of her hit single "Girl on Fire," by tweaking the lyrics just a bit for the POTUS. "Because he's president and he's on fire," she belted out."He's living in a world and it's on fire...filled with catastrophe, but he knows he can't fly away. He's got both feet on the ground and he's burning it down."

Earlier in the day Beyonce delivered a flawless performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner."
