Tyga And Game Drop 'Switch Lanes' Video

By Maurice Bobb

Not one to let something as trivial as whether or not he deserves his Compton street cred slow him down, Tyga is back to doing what he does best, music. This time out, he offers up new visuals for “Switch Lanes,” a hand clap–laced banger featuring Game from his Well Done 3 mixtape.

The cinematic clip begins with a police helicopter, affectionately known as a "Ghetto Bird" in Cali, circling the night sky, apparently looking for Tyga, Game and their street racing cohorts. Directed by music video auteur Alex Nazari, the nearly four-minute clip borrows significantly from the Fast & Furious movie franchise with tricked out whips cruising the city at breakneck speeds.

Tyga rocks a hat emblazoned with the numbers 187, the title for his upcoming mixtape, and Game, oddly, wears a Louis Vuitton hockey mask. Both rappers flip through the street in Lambos while volleying back and forth between the beat. As the video comes to a close, their street racing collective is broken up by police, who engage in hot pursuit of the duo before they make their escape in a ghost white Phantom.
