Raekwon’s latest project, Lost Jewelry, is finally here! The Wu-Tang Clan vet returns to the music scene with his newest EP with 12 tracks. The Staten Island native also dropped a video for his track “Came Up.”
This 12-track EP features Freddie Gibbs and Maino while Buckwild and Scram Jones provided the production. The Chef is releasing this EP as a precursor to his full-length album, F.I.L.A. (Fly International Luxurious Art), that still doesn’t have a release date.
Raekwon is taking it back with his video for “Came Up.” This black and white video is reminiscent of 1920’s era complete with clips of old school gangsters. “We pop bottles in this bitch just to get our name up. I come from the bottom n***a I came up,” he spits the hook at the opening of the song. This video is not flashy like other rap videos, but its simplicity speaks to the meaning of the song itself, about Raekwon coming up into the position he is in today.
Based on this video it looks like fans will have more to look forward to with The Chef’s newest project.
