A$AP Rocky kept it local for the release of his new album, Long.Live.A$AP. The New York rapper took over downtown art gallery The Hole along with his A$AP Mob and industry friends including producer Mike Dean, Michael K. Williams and Felicia "Snoop" Pearson from The Wire and Renee Graziano of VH1's Mob Wives.
Amid hipsters in snug jeans and tendrils of weed, Rocky reveled in his major label debut finally coming out. His spirits high, Rocky was clearly having a good time as he posed for a sea of cameras and danced with the A$AP Mob to their cuts like "Goldie," "Fuckin' Problems" and "Wild For The Night" along with crowd favorites "Work" and "Peso."
When asked how he felt about having his big moment in his hometown, Rocky was all smiles. "What's up baby? I'm having fun," he grinned to MTV while dancing to "Work." When Rocky ultimately got on the mic to thank his guests, he informed the crowd that he had lost his iPhone 5. "F-ck you motherf-ckers... I know you got my phone," he said. "F-ckin' problems" indeed.
A$AP kept it classy though and kept the party moving. As he explained to MTV News recently, "As soon as I turned 24 I said, 'I gotta stop acting 18' — on the real, I gotta stop having fights, pissing in public, spitting, and I just gotta chill," he said. "I gotta act like an adult for once and I had to change."
