After landing at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart last week with 179,000 copies sold of his latest opus, Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head, T.I. had a lot to celebrate as the year 2012 came to a close.
The self-proclaimed King of the South and wife Tiny started their NYE celebration early at the Hennessy V.S. New Year’s Eve Takeover event at LIV on Sunday night in South Beach. The Grand Hustle CEO performed a medley of his hits for the capacity crowd before mingling and posing with a gaggle of celebrity friends and fans, including ATL co-star Evan Ross, Houston rapper Slim Thug and Kim Kardashian BFF Jonathan Cheban.
Not to be outdone, fellow Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy brought in 2013 in style at the Hennessy V.S. New Year’s Eve Takeover event at the Compound in Atlanta. The "I Do" MC arrived in an all-white Rolls Royce, stepping out sans the black tee and jeans in favor of a tailored royal blue embroidered suit jacket and black slacks. Jeezy stood on couches and puffed on cigars as he counted down the last seconds of 2012, which saw him release his twelfth mixtape, It's Tha World.
