Kendrick Lamar Hits Paris, Compton For ‘Backseat Freestyle' Video

By Georgette Pierre

Kendrick Lamar decided to take his “Backseat Freestyle” to Paris and Compton. Beginning the string of videos that will be released for his good kid, m.A.A.d City debut, the visual finds his pops still looking for his dominoes and Sherane, well, doing what she does best.

Expect to see more of Kendrick in the director’s chair. Last month, he spoke with MTV News about a video for the Drake-featured track “Poetic Justice”, which sampled Janet Jackson’s “Any Time, Any Place.” He made a plea to the iconic star about being in the video. "Janet, c'mon, Janet. No paperwork with the managers, contact the managers. This is artist to artist. This is a young boy that looked up to you for years. Please, yeah, video, Janet Jackson 'Poetic Justice.' It'll only be right."

In his interview with GQ Magazine, he also revealed who he wanted to play Sherane. "I would love to see Rihanna in my movie [laughs]. Looking at this cover right here, man."

What video would you like to see next from good kid, m.A.A.d city?
