Young producer extraordinaire, Mike Will Made-It, has been making as much noise as possible, and he’s finally unveiled his mixtape Est. In 1989 (Part 2.5). Pulling out on the stops, the tape features Kelly Rowland, Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, DJ Drama, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Future, French Montana, Brandy, Rihanna, and many more.
Earlier this month, he unleashed ‘That Turn Up’ featuring new Def Jam signee, Trinidad James, which is also featured on the mixtape.
The Atlanta producer’s credits include MMG’s “Tupac Back”, Juicy J’s “Bandz A Make Her Dance, and Rihanna’s “Pour It Up”, what some refer to as the female version of “Bandz”.
Earlier this month, Mike Will Made-It sat down with MTV News to discuss how Rihanna’s new track came together for her seventh album, Unapologetic. “I did multiple records for her. I did the stadium-[sounding] record and, of course, I had to do a record like ’Pour It Up,’ because it was that turn-up.” He went on to say, “I know that’s what they were really looking for from me. That’s why they really called me in there, to give them a record like that. It kinda has like a ’Bandz a Make Her Dance’ feel to it, but it still has Rihanna’s own hop.”
