Kanye West announced last night during a performance in Atlantic City that he and girlfriend Kim Kardashian were expecting their first child, and fans reacted quickly across all social media platforms. Obviously.
"Kim Kardashian" and "Kimye" quickly became trending topics on Twitter and a host of fake profile were created posing as the couple's unborn child, including @KimyeFetus and @TheKimYeBaby.
Fans were mixed in their reactions. "I wonder what Kim and Kanye's baby name will be? Probably something ratchet... like Gucci Dash Swerve West," laughed on fan while another quoted Kanye's "Golddigger" lyrics, "Ahahaha '18 years 18 years and on the 18th birthday he found out it wasn't hiiiis'" Others were more supportive. "I don't care what nobody says that is the face of a man in love!" about Kanye while others shared, "I told you their love was real!" and "In 2013 we'll have an heir to the throne of England and an heir to the throne of the media."
During the second night of his three-show set at Revel in Atlantic City, Kanye confirmed that his girlfriend Kim Kardashian is pregnant with their first child. In the middle of the show Kanye asked the crowd to "make some noise" for his "baby mama" and began singing the line "So you're having my baby" from Jodeci's "Forever My Lady."
