Rihanna’s “Phresh Out The Runway” with her first number one album but she’s just getting started with her movie roles. At the beginning of this year, she was cast as Petty Officer Cora Raikes in the Peter Berg-directed action flick "Battleship" and now she’s moving on to animation.
This weekend the singer-turned-actress tweeted about voicing a new character in the studio while working with "The Big Bang Theory" actor, Jim Parsons. “Had a blast today! So weird recording for animation, but I get to keep my accent!. AND it’s PG, which mom should be happy about! Brrrap!!”
“Worked with the very talented Jim Parsons today #animationLife," she added.
"Happy Smekday" is the name of the animated film, set to be released in 2014. Details about the character Rihanna is voicing have not been revealed yet, but her Navy doesn’t have to wait too long before seeing her on the big screens again. In 2013, she’ll play herself in the comedy/action film, "The End of the World," co-directed and written by Seth Rogen. Next year we'll also see Rihanna’s fashion competition series, "Styled to Rock," debut on the Style Network.
In March, Rihanna kicks off her Diamonds World Tour featuring A$AP Rocky, who recently spoke with Sway about his memorable grope of Rihanna’s behind during their VMA performance.
