Too $hort Celebrates Hanukkah With New Track

By Ade Mangum (@HollywoodAde)

It’s time to celebrate Hanukkah so gather the family, light up the Menorah, enjoy some Latkas and cue up this new Too $hort track. The Bay area rapper has released a new song dedicated to his “favorite time of the year."

The R&B-infused track begins as Short Dawg describes his perfect “Festival of Lights” holiday. In true Too $hort fashion he also informs fans what Hanukkah is like for a pimp, but no worries, he assures us that it “treats a player right." Too $hort then continues to describe what is obviously a non-traditional view on the 8-night celebration. He “pinches tuchus," eats well and loves sharing (sexual) gifts.

Listen here.

What began as a freestyle on “TMZ Live” turned into a full song a year later. In the vein of Run-DMC's “Christmas in Hollis," Kanye West's “Christmas in Harlem" and Snoop Dogg's “Santa Claus Goes Straight to the Ghetto” we may have another hip-hop classic to add to our holiday playlist.
