The blogs haven't been oversaturated with music from J. Cole over the past few months, save for couple one-off tracks and new verses, but that's because the Roc Nation signee has been busy working on his sophomore album, which is scheduled to drop in January.
Cole decided on January 28, the same day as his 28th birthday, to release the project which he's titled Born Sinner. The album announcement came on Monday night (November 5) after he hopped on Ustream to chat with fans and updated his Dreamvillain blog with a new video setting up the album.
The most recent singles from Cole include "Get Free Coleworld" featuring Major Lazer, "I'm A Fool" plus freestyles like "The Cure" over The Throne's "Lift Off." Outside of that he's been featured on singles from DJ Khaled and Kendrick Lamar, who he's spent plenty of time in the studio with recently.
With Kendrick's album in stores, and Cole's set to drop in January, we now wait to find out when their collaboration album will be ready.
