Meek Mill's debut album Dreams and Nightmares is just around the corner, set to debut on October 30 and the MMG rapper is certainly not lacking in energy. Meek burst onto the stage at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday night (October 9) to the tune of his Dreamchasers 2 hit "Amen."
Dressed in a sleek black sweater with leather sleeves plus sunglasses and plenty of jewelry (a Jesus pieces, two crosses plus thick layers of gold necklaces) Meek got right into the track, before rolling into "Young & Gettin It", the first single from his debut album. Flames erupted on stage to signal the beginning of the new track and Houston rapper Kirko Bangz joined him to deliver the hook. Check out the full performance above.
Last week Meek tweeted that he'd played the new album for Jay-Z, who gave him the thumbs up. “Letting #hov & @_youngchris listen 2 #dreamsandnightmares wen hov tell ya sh-- hot....it's hot!” On the red carpet at the BET Hip Hop Awards, his fellow MMG rapper Wale also had some positive words to share. “It’s an intense time, it’s a special moment,” he said. “I told him to embrace it, man. He’s in a good spot; he’s making incredible music.”
