Awards were handed out at the taping of the 2012 Bet Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta on Saturday (September 29) but two separate fights broke out behind the scenes causing melee, and grainy video footage shows some of the altercations between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy's camps and Gunplay and G-Unit security guards.

This morning Gunplay told Power 105's Breakfast Club that he was separated from his camp by security guards at the awards show, when he ran into 50 Cent and his own security guards. From there things got ugly as the MMG rapper says he was assaulted by 50's employees before the cops jumped in with pepper spray. The footage shows the end of the scuffle the pepper spray begins.
BET has issued a statement about the events that took place on Saturday. "BET Networks works very hard to bring the best in entertainment to the city of Atlanta. For the past 7 years BET has celebrated the true art form of Hip Hop. Due to some misjudgment of select attendees, it is unfortunate that certain incidents took place," the statement read, not identifying any parties said to be involved in the incident. "BET Networks does not condone any type of violence. Local authorities are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible."
