50 Cent Confirms Pacquiao Venture, Says Mayweather Is Still 'A Friend'

50 Cent is opening up about his new boxing promotion company with Manny Pacquiao which is noticeably missing 50's other boxing friend, Floyd Mayweather. On the Power 105.1 Breakfast Club, 50 confirmed the deal and dismissed any rumors that Mayweather would be angry about the new venture which he is not a part of.

"Floyd is a friend of mine," said 50. The rapper explained that Mayweather had no urgency to work and communication (and thus the business) between them broke. There's no bad blood though and 50 said that Floyd is like a younger brother to him and was well aware that Fif and Pacquiao were continuing their partnership.

We reported yesterday that TMT Promotions (50 Cent and Mayweather’s boxing promotion company ) was announced just this past July, but has already closed shop. "50 Cent and I have been talking now for maybe the last two months," Pacquiao's advisor Michael Koncz told BoxingScene. "They approached us with the idea to form a promotional company. Initially it was going to be 50 Cent, Manny and Floyd. But right now I don't think Floyd is going to be a part of it."

Recently 50 went on “the Rickey Smiley Morning Show” and said that things have been “different” between him and Floyd since the boxer's jail release. "[The issues between us] really comes from…everybody around him is waiting on the next time he feels generous," Fif said, "And I have a lot [of money] so I don't wait for nobody. I'll go do what I gotta do. I don't have to sit around and wait for the next time he feels like giving somebody something."
