Poof! At a show in Las Vegas last night (August 21), Maybach Music Group honcho Rick Ross brought new meaning to the posse cut "Black Magic" when he was joined on stage by iconic magician David Copperfield. Watch below.
The song, which appears on the recently-released MMG compilation album Self Made Vol. 2, was taken to a new level with a cameo from the Vegas mainstay. "This is a motherf---- icon," said Ross while introducing Copperfield from the stage. "In his field, he's the greatest that ever did it."
While Houdini might have some beef with such a bold statement, Copperfield seemed thrilled to pose with Ross and producer Swizz Beatz as both paid tribute to Reebok Classics. "Working on my street cred," tweeted Copperfield this morning. "On stage last night with @TheRealSwizz and @RickyRozay."
The cameo wasn't just a random joke, either. On the cut, Ross shouts out Copperfield's dominance in the magic world with the rhyme, "One hundred mill/ David Copperfield." We can hope this is the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between the two.
