LL Cool J Takes Down Burglar In His LA Home

LL Cool J is not one to mess with. The rapper, actor and fitness maven put his famous muscles to work in real life, taking down a burglar who tried to invade his Los Angeles home this morning. According to law enforcement sources who spoke to TMZ, the suspect entered LL's home at 2am this morning and tripped the alarm.

LL, who plays a special agent on NCIS: Los Angeles, managed to detain the intruder until police arrived. TMZ shares that LL is fine but the suspect suffered some bruises. "LL Cool J and his family are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern," his rep told KTLA. The rep added, "As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter."

Earlier this year, LL served as the host of the 2012 Grammy Awards. "I'm thrilled to be part of Music's Biggest Night," LL said in a statement, according to People.com. He's hosted the nominations concert every year since 2008. "I will always have fond memories of my first Grammys Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true."
