To commemorate the official release of his long awaited fifth studio album God Forgives, I Don’t on Tuesday (July 31), Rick Ross dropped the visuals to one of the album’s biggest tracks, “3 Kings” featuring Dr. Dre and Jay-Z.
In the collage-like clip, which follows the careers of the three emcees, the trio raps about their journey from “mopping floors, now we front row at the awards" while the visuals cover how far they've come.
The video includes snapshots from monumental moments in their lives, even adding a baby clip of Beyonce into the mix. The Dre Films-produced cut weaves visuals that relate to the lyrics each rapper is spitting. So when Dre raps, “You should listen to this beat through my headphones," expect a clip from his Beats headphones commercial to appear. And when Jay spits, “Had a grill in ’88, Ya’ll ni---s is late,” you’ll witness a young Jigga sporting gold teeth.
As the release date of his anticipated LP approached, Ross kept fans fed with other GFID clips, including his “Hold Me Back” video which the Miami rapper premiered on Sunday.
