Michael Jackson's mother Katherine Jackson was reported missing this weekend, after conflicting reports from family members, but the 82-year-old is now confirmed to be staying with family members in Arizona.
According to AP and a statement released by Jermaine Jackson on Sunday, Katherine is staying with her daughter Rebbie in Arizona, while doctors have ordered her to stay away from computers and phones in order to de-stress.
There was mild alarm this weekend when MJ's daughter Paris Jackson tweeted messages claiming that her grandmother was missing. "yes, my grandmother is missing. i haven't spoken with her in a week i want her home now " Paris tweeted, adding, "if anybody sees my grandmother , please call the authorities or this number— (818)-876-0186 it's the security number .. thank you so much" followed by "the same doctor that testified on behalf of dr murray saying my father was a drug addict (a lie) is caring for my grandmother... just saying."
Los Angeles Sheriff's Deputy Mark Pope revealed that police have since made contact with Katherine Jackson, confirming that she is safe and in the care of family members.
"It dismays me that such an alarmist 'missing person' report has caused unnecessary anxiety among Michael's children who will understandably react to what they misunderstand, hear or are told," Jermaine Jackson wrote.
