After about a year of hearing the rising Harlem rapper’s name and music everywhere, A$AP Rocky has finally given a release date for his anticipated debut album. In a recent radio interview he announced that LongLiveA$AP is currently set to drop on September 11.
A few days earlier the Pretty Flacko sat down with Mina SayWhat of Philadelphia’s Power 99, chatting about his past projects and telling what fans can expect on the LongLiveA$AP album. “I feel like this is my best work yet,” said Rocky. “It’s like LiveLoveA$AP matured.
It’s everything that I did on the prior tape, but just better, matured, and more advanced.” A$AP also spoke about the all-star team who assisted in producing the upcoming project including Pharrell, Swizz Beatz, and Kanye West. Although those names are sure to draw a mass of attention to the LP, A$AP assured that the big names should not be the focus of the music.
Rocky has also been gushing about another project he has in the works—starring alongside Lana Del Rey as John F. Kennedy in her new “National Anthem” video. In anticipation for the upcoming visual, Del Rey released a trailer for the vid in which she appeared as an utterly stunning Jackie O and A$AP as a “BLVCK SCVLE-clad JFK” as he calls it.
