As RapFix reported earlier this week, A$AP Rocky will be starring alongside Lana Del Rey as John F. Kennedy in the visuals for her Jackie O-inspired video, “National Anthem." In anticipation for the upcoming clip, LDR has released a trailer featuring both musicians as they mix their trendy styles with some classics.
Lana appears as an utterly stunning Jackie O in the 1960s-themed video and it seems like she will take on the role of Marilyn Monroe as well. A$AP plays the role of a black JFK or a “BLVCK SCVLE-clad JFK” as he calls it. The on-screen chemistry the two artists share in the video solidifies their characters and there’s no doubt that this video will have people talking.
Rocky first revealed his role in the video during an interview with a German reporter, saying that it would capture fans’ attention, even if they didn’t understand what they're seeing. Del Rey has shared that the "National Anthem" video will be 10 minutes long, directed by Anthony Mandler and she gushed about the forthcoming clip saying, "Every so often, I top what I've done, and this video is definitely the most beautiful thing I've ever done.”
