By now it’s pretty clear that Michelle Obama has a great relationship with Beyonce. The First Lady and her daughters Sasha and Malia made the trip to Atlantic City over the weekend to catch one of the singer’s shows, and during a later appearance on “Good Morning America,” she praised Bey, telling Robin Roberts, “Anybody who’s got talent, I’m all for.”
“Beyoncé has just been a tremendous supporter of ‘Let’s Move!’ Without asking, she reformulated ['Get Me Bodied'] to do a flash mob for kids across this country,” the FLOTUS continued, referring to her campaign to fight childhood obesity. “Beyoncé stepped up in a way that so many of our celebrities and athletes are stepping up on behalf of this issue, so I love her to death and was glad to be out there moving my body with her,” said Obama.
During an interview in People earlier this month, where she promoted her new book, the First Lady also admitted that if she had to be one other person in the world, it would be B. “If I had some gift, I’d be Beyoncé,” she said. “I’d be some great singer.”
In April Bey penned a note to the FLOTUS on her website, writing, “I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to.”
