Wiz Khalifa has finally provided fans with the visuals to go along with his highly appraised grind anthem, "Work Hard, Play Hard." Throughout the video, set in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Wiz reps for both the blue collars and the ballers. The video follows a construction worker, a ballerina, and a rapper from the start of their day until they all coincidentally walk into the same bar. Unveiling that although they come from different paths of life, they all need to let off a little steam in the best way fit….SHOTS!
Wiz Khalifa once again teamed up with Stargate for this single after scoring a smash with the 2010 Stargate-produced single "Black and Yellow." The track's verses are filled with rapper angst as Khalifa shows that he hasn't lost his knack for delivering catchy and melodic hooks. With the kinetic drum pattern and booming bass, the song is sure to stick as Khalifa raps "The bigger the bill, the harder you ball/ Well, I'm throwin' mine, 'cause my money long."
“Work Hard Play Hard” is the first single released off of Wiz’s upcoming sophomore album, O.N.I.F.C. due out August 28th. The LP will feature production assistance from Will.I.Am, Pharrell and Benny Blanco. The project will also include guest verses from 50 Cent, the Weeknd, 2 Chainz and Taylor Gang’s new addition, First Lady Lola Monroe.
The hard work is definitely paying off as Wiz Khalifa was just crowned 'Top New Artist' at the Billboard Music Awards on May 20. This award is one of the show's major honors, the "Black And Yellow" rapper was humble as he accepted, winning out over other acts like Big Sean and Bad Meets Evil.
