Cee-Lo Green and his Goodie Mob family took the stage to perform their new song "Fight To Win" at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night (May 20). The foursome (Cee-Lo Green, Khujo, T-Mo, and Big Gipp), clad in white Adidas tracksuits, then flipped into the Beastie Boys classic "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party!)" as a tribute to fallen member Adam "MCA" Yauch.Click Here For More Photos From The Billboard Music Awards
Some ardent Goodie Mob fans were confused as to the positioning of Cee-Lo as the lead singer of Goodie Mob when in fact, the collective has been together for years.
"Stop saying Ceelo and Goodie Mob. It's just Goodie Mob, no separation," one fan tweeted while another wrote angrily, "Dear Billboard Awards, please don't say thatGoodie Mob is going to perform & then not show them up close not even ONCE!" Some fans were more open to the "new" Goodie Mob: "CeeLo & Goodie Mob sound great. I mean, NOTHING like the old Goodie Mob, but still, they do sound great."
The star of the performance was undoubtedly Jean Sok, a one-legged dancer from Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour. Dressed as a soldier, Sok gave a passionate and powerful performance. "He was amazing" a fan tweeted and others shared, "Love this guy ?" and "He did GREAT!"
