Curren$y Links With 2 Chainz On Stoned Immaculate's 'Capitol'

By Carter Maness

Ultra-prolific New Orleans native Curren$y is gearing-up for the release of his new studio album The Stoned Immaculate on June 5 via Warner Bros. Records, and today he dropped a new 2 Chainz-featuring single entitled "Capitol."

The track streamlines Spitta's floaty, super-chill approach with blunted bass and flutes. He stays in his comfort zone of weed, women, fine automobiles and vacationing while 2 Chainz continues his 2012 dominance over a beat that's far more relaxed than his usual material. Chainz has been running across the rap world all year, recently collaborating with everyone from Nicki Minaj and Drake to Kanye West and Kreayshawn.

"Capitol" is the third track to surface from The Stoned Immaculate. It follows the Wale-featuring "What It Look Like" and a collaboration with Das entitled "Fast Cars Faster Women."

And while the record is Spitta's official major label follow-up to 2011's Weekend At Burnie's, the always-busy rapper has since released the Verde Terrace mixtape with DJ Drama, a free EP during this year's Super Bowl called Here and the most recent #The1st28 EP with New York legend Styles P.
