The action in the 2012 NBA playoffs continued on Monday night with its second elimination in the first round of the exciting series. Over in Tinseltown, the Los Angeles Clippers took a commanding 3-1 lead against the Memphis Grizzlies in overtime with a 101-97 victory putting them one game away from a series win in years. The Grizzlies were looking to even the series but the 27 point effort from Chris Paul and 30 point effort from a fouled out Blake Griffin was too much for the Grizzlies in the end. Earlier that night Western Conference top shotta San Antonio Spurs cruised to a second round entry in the Playoffs after sweeping the Utah Jazz with a 87-81 victory.
The MTV News Hip-Hop Playoffs are seeing its own swing of twists and turns in the Baller Conference with one major powerhouse label seeing the exit doors. In a surprising move, #8 Dipset eliminated their rivals, #1 seed Cash Money Records. Number #4 seed Odd Future continues to dominate the Young Jeezy backed #5 seed CTE with 70% of the fan vote between the two. The elimination of YMCMB follows the downfall of fellow Baller Conference team #7 seed Brick Squad who were eliminated this past Saturday night following a successful run in 2011.
