Kid Cudi Gets Back To Rapping On 'Whiskey!' Single

Just when we thought Kid Cudi had thrown in the towel on his rap career for good, he returns with a new single that finds him spitting again. " In addition to having a very long title, the new track "Dennis, Hook Me Up With Some More Of That Whiskey!" begins with a slightly reworked sample from his Man On The Moon ll track "Ghost!"

Cudi dropped his latest album WZRD with Dot Da Genius in February, and for the past few months he's maintained that he was done with rapping for awhile, but guess he couldn't stay away too long. In March he addressed the sales of WZRD, basically aiming this at the haters."I think it definitely proves a point, that there was a method to my madness," Cudi told  MTV News.

"The kids are out there and they want the music. It's just like a that's-what-I-f---ing thought-type of thing. Not just to the label or whatever — I'm not going to say the label had no faith in the project — just kind of to the naysayers and people that didn't really believe in it.

Recapping how the passion project came about, he added, "I was like, 'Let's start a band. 'It's going to be called WZRD and it's going to be awesome and it's going to sell 70,000-plus records its first week, with no promo.'"

Hopefully another rap album is on the way soon. In the meantime Cudi's been assisting Kanye and crew with the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music album and shooting another project with Ye in the Middle East.
