First G.O.O.D Music Single 'Mercy' Debuts Good Friday

It's time. Kanye West and his G.O.O.D Music crew--that includes Pusha T, Big Sean, John Legend and Kid Cudi--have been recording the imprint's first official album over the past few months, and it seems like we'll finally hear a single from the project this week. Pusha T made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday, writing "G.O.O.D. Music single "Mercy" drops on Good Friday."

Up until this month we've gotten updates on the album from Big Sean, Pusha T and Mannie Fresh who recently revealed that he's been helping Kanye to produce the project, which he said was 'pretty close' to finished in March.  "Songs phenomenal, everything," he told MTV News. "It's an album that's all over the place, it's not just one thing. It's not just that you're gonna hear some Southern hip-hop or whatever. You're gonna hear everything."

Way back in November Pusha T told MTV News that they had made considerable progress on the album. "I’ve recorded four songs for the G.O.O.D. Music album, and hopefully there will be a couple more,” Pusha said. “I know me and [Big] Sean should definitely be on two songs together, if not more--Sean, that’s my man. The beats are there and they’re laid out. The finished product still has to go through the Kanye West wizardy wall, but after that happens, then we’ll see."

While Kanye West finished up his promotion for Watch the Throne, the G.O.O.D Music team recorded together in New York but they've also recorded bits of the album in London and Los Angeles.
