Birdman has always had a keen eye for talent, most notable when looking back at the signing of Lil Wayne in the summer of 1991 when he was only 9-years-old. Now, with the immense amount of success that Birdman and Cash Money Records have achieved, Stunna has his eyes on bigger talents: Rick Ross and Game.
In an interview with Complex Magazine Birdman was asked what artists he would like to sign to Cash Money. "Wow. There’s a lot of acts I’d like to work. I got a lot of respect for Rozay and what he accomplishing with his brand and his team” Birdman told Complex, adding “DJ Khaled. I like Jeezy. I like Game. In time, I’ll be working with some of them.”
When asked if he would consider signing Rick Ross to his label after he is finished completing his fifth and final album for Def Jam, Birdman responded by saying “if the time ever came, we gonna G up and make it happen. Right now he signed to Def Jam, but when the time do come, I’m gonna be right there waiting.”
I got nothing but love and respect for Rozay,” Birdman continued, “I watched him do it and he did it from nothing. He’s still grounded and that’s what I love about him. He’s got a solid team. They’ve got some great music over there.”
Baby had similar comments to make about possibly signing Game to Cash Money, “I know that I told Game, if the time come I would love to sign Game. I think he’s a very talented artist. But right now he’s signed with Interscope, maybe he’s got another album. But when time comes, I’m gonna be there for him too.”
It’s no wonder Birdman would want to sign Rozay to Cash Money. Back in February our panel of experts named Rick Ross the Hottest MC In The Game.
