Chris Brown Gets Introspective, Talks Rihanna On 'How I Feel'

By Sowmya Krishnamurthy

Chris Brown is putting his inner-most thoughts on wax in a new song called "How I Feel." Produced by Drumma Boy, the introspective, slow number follows Chris' life trajectory from his humble start in Virginia, and even touches on his relationship with Rihanna. "Live my life with no regrets/Try to show respect but you don't give it/I guess you don't understand when/It might take me a lifetime to take it back/It might take you a lifetime to know the facts," he opens up.

The Fame singer touches upon his parents own abusive relationship, grappling with fame and what appears to be his thoughts on his tumultuous relationship with Rihanna: “Nineteen, a ni--a went through a tragedy/ Three years, a ni--a just found a better me/ Yeah, you might find another lover, but you always started with Breezy like the letter B,” he sings.

In 2009, Chris struck a plea agreement in a felony assault case involving Rihanna. He was sentenced to 180 days of community labor, to be served in the singer's native Virginia. This came after the infamous physical altercation between the two --who were dating at the time--in February, which resulted in Rihanna suffering multiple injuries and bruises.

Since then, the pair have reconciled and have even collaborated on music. Recently, they released two remixes "Birthday Cake" and "Turn Up The Music."
