In her Super Bowl XLVI Halftime extravaganza on Sunday night (February 5), Madonna shared the stage with LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, M.I.A., Cee Lo Green, seemingly hundreds of dancers and acrobats, a marching band and...Los Angeles Laker Ron Artest? Well, not really, but when Madge disappeared into the ether and the lights went down to reveal the message, "World Peace,” Twitter went crazy with folks joking that Artest, who goes by the moniker "Metta World Peace," got a special shout out. The eccentric, but always entertaining Artest, weighed in, tweeting: "Rotfl!! Lmao!!! Super Bowl World Peace!!!!!" and then added "I feel like kissing Madonna!"
Even after the New York Giants beat out the New England Patriots as the Super Bowl XLVI champ, Artest still appeared to be on a Madonna high, simply writing, “#teammadonna.”
Kissing the Queen of Pop seems like a totally brag-worthy scenario nowadays. Just ask Nicki Minaj. MTV News recently chatted with “Give Me All Your Luvin' ” video directors Megaforce about a kiss between the Harajuku Barbie and Material Girl that didn’t make the clip’s final cut.
"That's funny, 'cause that's something we didn't really see," said Clement Gallet, one half of the creative duo. "Basically, it was Nicki Minaj's birthday on the shoot, but we were— as always, as the directors—stressed about the next scene and whatever happens, that when the birthday cake arrived, we were already prepping the next scene and we didn't see what happened. And we learned about it on Twitter. So basically, we cannot tell you about the scene.” http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1678549/madonna-nicki-minaj-kiss-give-me-all-your-luvin.jhtml
