Tyga was arrested during a routine traffic stop in Las Vegas, Nevada over the weekend, when police discovered that there was already a warrant out for his arrest. The 22-year-old Young Money rapper, born Michael Stevenson, had failed to take care of four previous traffic violations. According to TMZ, Tyga’s violations included registration violations, driving without a license and unlawful acts of fiancial responsibility, but he was released from jail the day following his arrest.
Tyga is currently on tour in support of his upcoming album Careless World: The Rise of the Last King, and he recently appeared in the video for Drake’s single “The Motto” along with Lil Wayne.
When MTV News caught up with Tyga at the Philadelphia Powerhouse concert in October he revealed that he’d already recorded plenty of material for his album. "I have productions from Cool & Dre, Pharrell; I actually produced a lot with my in-house producer, Jess Jackson," Tyga told MTV News backstage. "As an artist, you just know what you want to hear; it's just better to make your own sound rather than try to find a sound and add a story to it."
